Planet Pop lessons are divided into 6 sections:

• Music video: Our songs are written in the styles and genres that children love and hear on the radio, TV, and YouTube. Catchy tunes complement professionally-written lyrics that are focused around the Cambridge English Young Learners curriculum. Each song provides key vocabulary and grammar in a fun way that encourages children to USE the English they’re learning.
• Vocabulary Raps: Infectious rhythms are combined with dance routines and key vocabulary to create entertaining listen-and-repeat actions. Your child will join hundreds of other students already singing their hearts out in English.
• Conversation Practice: Our immersive conversation videos allow your young learners to listen to native tutors speak English to one another whilst engaging in common activities. This exposure to everyday English ensures that your students will understand English as it’s actually spoken.
• Grammar Tutorials: Simple grammar structures from each unit are presented in natural conversation. This means no more boring grammar drills, because students learn by listening.
• Pronunciation Guides: Our native-English tutors model correct pronunciation so your child’s English will be understood by natives. British Sign Language and fun animated elements also help young learners communicate with the hearing impaired and engage their kinesthetic learning faculties for better retention.

The Planet Pop syllabus has been carefully structured to support learners between the ages of 5 and 15. Our aim is to help students complete their A1 and A2 Cambridge English exams.

• We know how important it is to structure your lessons, which is why our units follow a specific learning path, with each unit building upon the previous one.
• Every unit is made up of 6 video lessons: Conversation Practice, a Music Video, a Vocabulary Rap, Grammar Practice, Pronunciation Practice, and Karaoke. These videos cover everything you need to know about the target vocabulary and grammar for that unit.
• Teaching with Planet Pop is as easy as playing each video within the unit that you’re working on. However, to make it even easier, we’ve created lesson plans, worksheets and flashcards to help you cut down on lesson preparation time.
• Units 1-13 currently have these additional resources and we’re adding more to our other units.
• You can also find direct links to the songs on iTunes and Spotify so that learners can listen to the music at home, in the class, or on the move.
